About Surat Chat

Surat Chat is a free India chat room designed with those of you living near the Tapi River in mind. It’s a place where you can meet some like-minded and very interesting people. All from the comfort of your own home. That’s not to say you won’t find chatters from other Indian cities and regions here, or even from other parts of the world. Everything’s possible. Given that no-one likes too much fuss when they’re looking for a bit of friendly and fun chat, we’ve made our free Indian chat rooms easy to use. Find out more below.

Surat Chat Features

Surat Chat is very easy to use. You don’t have to download anything and there’s no complicated sign-up process. All you need is a username and you’re good to go. While you may be tempted to do what most do and have your own name as your username, you could run into problems. As many people have the same idea, if you’ve got a common name, it could already be in use by another chatter. Don’t worry though. Just think of something else, perhaps related to a personality trait you think is attractive or a passion or interest you have in life.

Once the name has been approved, you will be taken to the Surat Chat room. Look around and you will see that the main window is where all the action takes place. Below that you have the dialogue box where you can type in what you want to say and then to the side of this screen, there’s a list of all the chatters using the room right now. You’ll see @ symbols beside people’s names. This indicates that they are moderators for channel. They are the individuals who monitor the free chat room and ensure it stays the warm, friendly and civil place India Chat Rooms wants their rooms to be.

Surat Chat Tips

In line with what we said above, it’s important as a first step to having a valuable and enjoyable free Indian online chat experience, that you read and follow the rules. This applies whether it’s your first time using an online chat room or not. We have a policy of having no tolerance for any kind of abusive, offensive, intimidating, threatening or even violent behaviour. Anyone who acts in that kind of way or makes another user feel uncomfortable, unsafe and uneasy, will be removed, either temporarily or permanently. In addition to the mods, we also offer the ignore feature, as a last resort, that means you can block out specific users and not see any of their text, private or public.

The best approach to take when joining in at Surat Chat for the very first time is to be polite and friendly with everyone. Don’t try too hard or you might put people off getting to know you. Also, avoid bombarding the screen with lots of text. Relax and gradually you will establish friendships. When that happens or if you’re having a heated debate and don’t want to disrupt the main room too much, you may want to take things into private. This can be easily done, with consent, by selecting the username from the list, clicking it and choosing ‘send a message’. Remember, no matter how close or friendly you are with people, we’d recommend you don’t share personal details online.
